Driving Inkling is easy. It's automatic, not much wider than an estate car — just a bit longer and taller. No special licence needed, and full comprehensive insurance with breakdown cover means you're looked after if anything goes wrong.

Two ways to camp with Inkling
Touring — moving every 1–2 nights
The van is ready to go the moment you arrive: park, settle in, that's it.
Best for couples or two friends — there's the bed, plus the roof, so that's your limit on sleeping spots. Because everything travels with you in the van, there's no separate tent or awning to pitch and pack away, which is what makes touring so light and fast to move.

Great for Britstops — free overnight parking if you buy a meal at the venue
Hub and Spoke — stay put, longer and slower
You set up a base (van plus tent or awning) and stay a while, using the van to explore from there.
Best for first-timers, families, and groups — the tent gives you extra sleeping space and room to spread out, so you're not living entirely out of the van. That extra space is what makes it easier to settle kids, gear, and everyone's stuff without things feeling cramped.
