We don’t really do rules — just a few simple guidelines to keep things running smoothly.
🚭 No smoking or vaping
Please don’t smoke or vape inside the van or tent.
🐾 No pets
We know this can be disappointing, but due to severe allergies we can’t allow pets. Many animals would find the space a bit cramped anyway.
🎪 Events & festivals
Inkling isn’t suited to large events or festivals, but we’re happy to consider enquiries for smaller, quieter gatherings.
🍷 Enjoy responsibly
We love a sunset drink as much as anyone! Just bear in mind the van has lots of moving parts and delicate bits — it doesn’t cope well with overly enthusiastic celebrations. For this reason, we generally don’t host hen or stag groups.
💧 Roof space care
The roof space is harder to clean and dry out, so please stick to water only up there.
🗑️Please take everything with you and leave the van as you'd hope to find it.
A bit of mud is all part of it — we just ask that things are clean enough for us to give everything a quick check afterwards. The groundsheet in the pop-up tent helps keep things simple — just lift it out before packing away.

Cancellation Policy
6+ weeks before your trip: full refund
7 days–6 weeks before: 50% refund of the hire cost and admin fee
Within 7 days: no refund of the hire cost; 100% of the £60 admin fee refunded
Full terms are confirmed at booking.
We know that cancelling at short notice is rarely a simple decision — it's often stressful, and usually comes with its own costs. While we're unable to refund the hire cost within 7 days of your start date, as re-booking Inkling becomes very difficult this close to the date, we'll still return your £60 admin/cleaning fee in full. This isn't because we haven't incurred any costs — we have — but because we'd rather absorb them ourselves than add to what is already a difficult moment for you.
